He’s been all over the U.S., U.K., France, Germany -- and as far as Russia.
The New-York-City-based Sammy Needlz has enjoyed an impressive career, spinning frequently at many of his home city’s hottest venues. But it’s his renowned musicianship -- his skills as a writer and producer -- that continues to flavor his sets and make him such an influencer in the global DJ community.
Sammy flexes a vast knowledge of music past and present. His sets include pop, hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, rock, electro, funk, soul, disco and house -- and it’s this diverse knowledge of music paired with an ability to seamlessly fuse genres that allow Sammy to play for both the casual music lover and the discerning connoisseur. It’s no surprise that his skills have been called upon to open stadium concerts for some of music’s biggest names like 50 Cent, Pharrell Williams and N.E.R.D., Kanye West, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, The Roots and Busta Rhymes. Brands such as Converse and Beats by Dre have trusted Sammy to help launch products at many of their corporate events.
When not in the club, you can catch Sammy on air, DJ’ing and hosting ShowOff Radio on Eminem’s Shade45 SiriusXM station, along with Dancehall Saturday Night on The Joint42 SiriusXM. Recently, Sammy’s club sets were broadcasted live to millions through NYC’s Z100 -- otherwise known as the No. 2 Top 40 station in the world.
Sammy redefines the term “DJ” by fusing instinct and artistry with skill and finesse. From Fortune 500 brands to thousands of screaming fans, Sammy Needlz moves and inspires his crowd every time.
