He blends an encyclopedic knowledge of music with a keen sense of fun.
Club Calco is the stage name of Manhattan-based DJ and musician Kelle Calco. You’ll find him sonically styling corners of the city that the same feet don’t often cross, with music from the past and present. Calco has blended rock and roll and nu-disco at the Dream Hotel’s exclusive underground clubhouse, Electric Room, shared the booth with hip-hop celebs such as Drake and Wiz Khalifa at VIP Room, weaved throwbacks and guilty pleasures in the Rec Room at No. 8, sweated out beachside summer jams at Surf Lodge in the Hamptons, and seared through epic five-hour deep house sets at Le Baron NYC. If we’re honest, there’ve been few nights over the past seven years when you couldn’t find a Calco beat of some kind somewhere in the city that never sleeps.
Calco has also been called upon to curate a live music series for the legendary Don Hill’s and the Hudson Hotel while he fronted his own Rolling-Stones-influenced rock band, which took to notable stages at the Highline Ballroom, Brooklyn Bowl and the Bowery Hotel.
Currently, he's organizing a weekly alternative dance music series called Nightless at Electric Room. He’s been featured in publications such as Zink, Paper, The New York Post, Creem, New York Magazine and Guest of a Guest.
